Description

George III silver Proof Pattern "Fullerton" 1/2 Crown 1799 PR66 PCGS, St-31a. Medal alignment. Engraved by J. Milton and struck by Matthew Yound for Colonel Fullerton. Exceedingly eye-appealing and graced with a profound steel-blue tone that darkens against razor-sharp devices to impressive accentuating effect. Featuring the bust of George, Prince of Wales as Steward of Scotland and commonly thought of as a Scottish pattern, but in actual fact a British coin, as the reverse design depicts the Arms of England.
