Description

George III Sixpence 1816, S3791, MS66 PCGS, a Superb Gem UNC, almost perfect, bold strike, the wonderful original surfaces frosty with luster and sheathed in a light iridescent blend of silvery gold. First year of the New Coinage made by steam press at the recently opened Tower Hill Mint. In "D:G:" the bottom of the "D" is broken, incomplete., and various short die breaks may be seen. About as fine as may be found. The cataloguer sees this coin as numerically under-graded.
