Description

George IV Crown 1822 MS65 NGC, KM680.1, S-3805. SECUNDO edge. An offering of standout beauty, and quite scarce in so elevated a technical grade. A firm strike bestows this gem example with pinpoint-level accuracy across the entirety of its designs, perhaps most apparent in the fine locks of hair to the King's bust and the soaring reverse St. George motif, which appears nearly medallic in its clarity and relief. Light notes of iridescence elevate the eye appeal throughout, while a glowing ring of metallic sunset orange frames the obverse periphery, bordering silver-sheathed centers to impressive visual impact.
