Description

George IV Mint Error 1/2 Crown 1825 MS62 PCGS, Royal mint, KM695, S-3809. Full Brockage Reverse Error. An exceptional quality and rare mint error, clearly saved and put aside soon after production. The obverse, bright and lustrous, is just beginning to darken with age, but with flashes of brilliance creeping through when rotated; this spreads to a steel-blue iridescence creeping in from the peripherals. The reverse incuse design is so crisp as to appear convex at first glance, decorated with a soft matte luster. An exceptional example of this error type, and deserving of the finest cabinets.
