George VI Proof Halfcrown 1947, S4101, PF66 Cameo NGC, Ex: Cheshire Collection, extremely rare Proof of Record, a superb copper-nickel coin with blazing mirror fields, the portrait as well as the reverse shield being in strong cameo contrast (all of the letters of the legend and the date are also frosted), so fine and brilliant that it resembles a silver coin! One of a handful known and possibly the very finest.From the Exeter College Collection
