Description

Henry II "Tealby" Penny 1154-1189, S-1339. As the first of the Plantagenet kings, Henry II tried to clean up the coins of his predecessor Stephen with a more 'regular' coinage, but his 29 mints didn't seem to do much better. VF for wear, but very few of the letters can actually be read. The portrait is quite strong for issue.
