Description

Victoria bronze Proof One-Third Farthing 1868, Bun Head, S-3960, Peck-1929 (rare), PR64 RB NGC, Gem Proof, wonderful, original surfaces only slightly toned, mostly an intense mint red. This tiny denomination was not made for homeland use, but for tax payments, and small change, in far-off corners of the Empire, such as Malta. Proofs were made for the record, not for sale to collectors, accounting for their rarity.

Metal: Bronze
Weight: 2.86g
