Description

Victoria Crown 1845, S3882, Young Head, edge stops not visible in the slab, very scarce currency issue made for only a few years in the 1840s, difficult to find in nicer conditions, and here is a pleasant example: MS61 NGC, lustrous beneath rich medium gray toning with hues of gold iridescence. Long die breaks on each side, indicating that this set of dies was nearing its end. Not a perfect coin but it has a rich, old-time look to it, and as such is quite desirable.
