Victoria Penny 1861, S3954, Laureate or Bun Head, 6G die combination, MS65 BN NGC, a wonderful bronze penny! Boldly struck on both sides, gleaming with exquisite and almost perfect chocolate brown luster enhanced by beautiful blue iridescent hues, immaculate surfaces, and the delicate die clashing or ghosting around both central devices which is almost a hallmark of Royal Mint bronze coinage in this era. Tiny die breaks are scattered across the reverse.From the Exeter College Collection
