Description

Victoria silver Moore pattern Penny 1860, P2117, another of the same style as the last but on this one the beaded rim of the reverse is replaced by a plain line, intended to be a raised rim but it is incomplete. Nice piece, PR64 NGC, with pleasing silvery gray surfaces augmented by bright splashes of iridescent neon-blue toning. See Peck's comments on the silver issues. These Moore patterns are all quite rare; this one is rated extremely so by Peck. Values tend to fluctuate depending on the mood of the moment and each piece's eye appeal, so we could see this one jump, it's so attractive.
