Description

William III gold Guinea 1700 XF40 NGC, KM498.1, S-3460. A challenging type to find, as the Great Recoinage of 1696 primarily focused on silver, making William III's gold issues scarce. The present example faces up wholly appealing due to the sparkles of remaining luster along the peripheries energizing the visual appeal. Light wear at the centers is consistent with the grade, yet maintains strong features on the handsome portrait of the King.
