Description
William III Halfcrown 1698, S3494, 1st bust, MS64 PCGS, Gem UNC, a gorgeous coin with bright golden blue iridescent toning, intensely lustrous with a fairly sharp and even strike, and (obviously) exceptional surfaces. Struck from aging dies but with a marvelous, fresh look! Very scarce so fine. Earlier milled coins seldom come this nice, almost never with such vibrant color, and so this is truly an exceptional coin which deserves to sell for considerably higher than the normal, gray toned type of specimen. There are records of sales of this type at much higher prices than our estimate, but time will tell how enthusiastic the bids will be.Metal: Silver
Diameter: 32.30mm
