Description

William IV Proof Shilling 1831, S-3835, KM-713, PF65 NGC, plain edge. As with most early 19th century Proofs that were stored in their contemporary boxes, this has acquired the dark blue with hints of rose color that the felt and silk gave these pieces. It was the clumsy collectors in the last 175 years that gave these pieces the marks that we too often see. Thankfully this Shilling is quite free of those marks.
