Description

William IV Sovereign 1832, S-3829B, MS64 NGC, Choice Uncirculated with booming satiny luster, super-sharp in strike with crisp detail on the reverse shield (only the body of the angel on the harp is not fully detailed), and this sharpness combined with excellent surfaces is very rare on any sovereign of this reign; in fact, this is one of the most difficult sovereigns to locate so choice. Technical observations: a faint but long scratch in the mint frost runs almost parallel to the king's jawline, and there is slight disturbance to the luster on the king's face. Despite these, the surfaces are aglow with golden toning and the coin has dramatic eye-appeal. For the student of minutiae, some subtle diebreaks to observe. A highly desirable coin which should bring a big price, as the sovereign market is on fire and precious few truly MS coins are coming to auction.
