Description
William IV Third-Farthing 1835, S3850, MS64 RB PCGS, a really choice example having almost perfect surfaces, two tiny flaws or depressions on the portrait possibly mistaken for marks in grading, glowing reddish brown luster, portrait sharp, Britannia well detailed but not bold, struck from clashed dies. Commercial pieces were intended for circulation as tax revenue pieces on Malta, and most perished more than a century ago. The eye appeal is exceptional; one of the best ones seen by the cataloguer.From the Exeter College Collection
