Description

Chios. Gold Ducat ND (14th Century), Gamberini 344, choice brilliant UNC and remarkably well-struck. This imitation of a Venetian trade Ducat was minted by the Frankish Lords, possibly Robert d'Anjou. The obverse legend includes the name ANDKDANDNV, some letters retrograde.
