Description
Prooflike Gem 1878-CC Dollar
Band-Certified in Black GSA Holder
1878-CC $1 MS65 Prooflike NGC. With only two finer Prooflike
examples band-certified in the black GSA hard cases of issue
(9/12), this Gem Prooflike survivor is an exemplary representative
of the quality that a few lucky buyers found when they participated
in the General Services Administration auction. Scarcely-toned
fields are appreciably reflective with a strong cartwheel effect.
Sharply struck devices have attractive frost, and the all-around
preservation is impressive, though a patch of roller marks (as
produced) is noted just to the right of Liberty's chin. This lot
comes with a GSA box as well as certificate number
78041689.(Registry values: P4, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 407081)
