1884-CC $1 MS66 NGC. "Important: This coin has never been placed in circulation by the U.S. Government. However, due to its heavy scratches or tarnish it was culled out of the 'Uncirculated' category and was offered in a special category ('Mixed Carson City') at a $15.00 minimum bid price." So reads one of the two cards included in this lot, but we suspect that the winning bidder did not mind receiving this Premium Gem! Light gold and peach patina appears at parts of the margins, but the surfaces are generally bright otherwise.
