Republic gold Proof "Dr. Francois Duvalier" 1000 Gourdes 1967-IC PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS, Arezzo mint (Italcambio), KM71, Fr-1. Estimated mintage: 2,950, split between four years of issue. Certified as #20. Accompanied by original case of issue, hand-signed on interior by Dr. François Duvalier on April 19th, 1968 (only 4 years before his death). Struck to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Revolution and Duvalier's 60th birthday. Beautifully designed with champagne-toned motifs and legends that are juxtaposed with deeply mirrored lower fields.
