Rare and Important High Grade 1793 Half Cent
1793 1/2 C AU50 PCGS. B-2, C-2, R.3. This is the second scarcest variety of the year and is most easily attributed by the long 7 in the date and the fraction crowded between the ribbons. The 1793 Half Cent is an essential one-year type coin, and a classic design. Examples are very elusive in high grades. This is a well detailed coin that is glossy with much luster remaining beneath the deep brown patina. Only small and relatively inoffensive handling marks are scattered over each side of this lovely piece.From the James L. Moore Collection.
