    Description

    1793 Half Cent, C-4, B-4, AU55
    Sharp Definition

1793 1/2 C AU55 NGC. CAC. C-4, B-4, Low R.3. Manley Die State 2.0. This impressively defined Choice AU example displays shimmering luster across the devices and legends. The surfaces display deep golden-brown prevailing hues with additional ice-blue tints on the reverse. Minor incompleteness of strike appears on the right-side borders, most noticeable on the AM in AMERICA. This piece is surprisingly smooth overall, aside from an inconspicuous mark above the 7 in the date and on the shoulder curl. A brief lintmark near the final A in AMERICA is of Mint origin. An important representative of this first-year, single-year type. Our EAC grade XF40.
    Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2009), lot 3565.(Registry values: P8) (NGC ID# 2222, PCGS# 1000)
