Description

Circulated 1793 Half Cent

1793 1/2 C --Corroded, Whizzed--ANACS. XF Details, Net Fine 15. B-3, C-3, R.3. The dark, somewhat rough surfaces are the result of improper storage in a moist environment. Both sides have been whizzed to an unnaturally glossy sheen and, in addition, the upper obverse rim around the first three letters in Liberty appears to have been repaired. Despite these impairments, this is still an important representative of this one-year type.
