Description

1793 C-4, B-4 Half Cent, Fine Details
Last of the 1793 Varieties

1793 1/2 C C-4, B-4, Low R.3 -- Cleaned -- PCGS Genuine. Fine Details. The 1793 C-4 half cents were the last of the denomination produced in the first year of Philadelphia Mint coinage. Small patches of corrosion are noted above Liberty's head and in the branch below UNITED, although they are unconcerning. The surfaces are rather glossy olive-brown, leading PCGS to conclude that this coin has been cleaned. However, the overall eye appeal remains excellent for the grade.
