1793 C-4 Half Cent, XF Details
Well Defined, Single-Year Type
1793 1/2 C C-4, B-4, Low R.3 -- Environmental Damage -- PCGS
Genuine. XF Details. Manley Die State 2.0. The 1793 half cent
is a single-year type, since the bust faces right on subsequent
dates of the Liberty Cap type. Only four die marriages were coined
for the denomination during the first year of the Philadelphia
Mint, and survivors as sharp as the present lot are seldom seen.
There are no marks or spots, but the surfaces are lightly to
moderately granular, particularly along the right-side margins.
