Description

1793 C-4, B-4 Half Cent, VF20
Usual Late Die State

1793 1/2 C C-4, B-4, Low R.3, VF20 PCGS. CAC. Manley Die State 2.0 with a die defect on top of the 7 in the date. This example shows normal coin-turn die alignment, despite Manley's comment in The Die State Book that the variety is known only with 15° rotation. Housed in a first-generation PCGS holder, this piece has attractive tan and olive-brown surfaces that any collector would love. Scattered circulation marks are consistent with the grade. The impression is nicely centered, although only partial border detail is evident. Our EAC grade Fine 15.
