Description

Attractive and Solidly Graded 1793 Half Cent, XF40

1793 1/2 C XF40 ANACS. B-1, C-1, High R.3. Manley Die State Three. A second, and finer representative of this popular Half Cent delivery, this is a smooth, glossy textured coin with ample remaining definition over most features. The central reverse is (typically) weakly struck, and the reddish-brown patina on the obverse contrasts nicely with the richer, medium brown color on the reverse. There are a few minor abrasions on both sides, none of which are inconsistent with the XF grade level. The reverse rim break (as struck) above F AME confirms the above mentioned die state. A few small planchet voids on the obverse through the date are noted for accuracy.
