Description

1793 C-3, B-3 Half Cent, XF45

1793 1/2 C XF45 NGC. C-3, B-3, R.3. The obverse of this first-year half cent is medium olive-brown with a few splashes of darker toning, while the reverse is combines deep steel-brown and mahogany, with lighter tan on several of the leaves, especially in the left branch. Both sides show the usual quota of handling marks associated with these early copper coins. The reverse has a scrape between HALF and CENT, with a few rim bruises and old scratches that are blended with the surrounding surface. Here is an opportunity for the early copper enthusiast to acquire a nicely detailed first-year half cent. Our EAC grade VF25.(Registry values: P8)
