    Description

    1793 Half Cent, XF45
    C-3, B-3

1793 1/2 C XF45 PCGS. CAC. C-3, B-3, R.3. A lovely Choice XF specimen, this 1793 half cent has pleasing olive-brown surfaces with slightly darker brown patina on the high points of the design. Lighter tan color appears inside the wreath on the reverse of this example. A few trivial marks appear on each side, and a small rim bruise is noted at 1 o'clock on the reverse. This is a pleasing representative and a sound specimen of the first year for copper coinage at the Philadelphia Mint, following completion of the facility late in 1792. Our EAC grade VF35.(Registry values: P8) (NGC ID# 2222, PCGS# 1000)
