Description
1794 1/2 C --Damaged, Tooled--ANACS. VF Details, Net VG8. B-2, C-2, R.3. This coin represents a variety with a close date and a long fraction bar on the reverse. The variety comes with either Small or Large Edge Letters, but the holder prevents an examination of the edge. There are a number of small digs, with the most conspicuous ones present at the top of the obverse. The central reverse has shallow depressions and marks from tooling. The patina is a lighter shade of tan-brown than usually seen for a long-circulating early Half Cent. From the Robert Knowles Collection.
