Plum-Red Survivor

1794 1/2 C High Relief Head, C-9, B-9, R.2, AU55 NGC. Manley Die State 3.0, "scarce," with a die break through a few dentils clockwise of the 2 in the fraction denominator and a heavy radial crack passes through Liberty's cap, and a crack connects the top of most letters in LIBERTY. The plum-red surfaces are surprisingly unabraded. Small and lightly granular ebony areas are found at the top of the wreath, the I and T in LIBERTY, and the obverse border at 3 o'clock. A desirable type coin of the Liberty Cap Right design.
