Description
1794 Half Cent, Problem-Free VF35
Elusive C-3a, B-5b Variety
1794 1/2 C Normal Head, C-3a, B-5b, R.5, VF35 PCGS. Manley
Die State 2, heavily clashed with a subtle die bulge right of the 4
in the date. This is the more plentiful of the two Cohen-3
variants, showing small edge lettering as opposed to large, but is
nonetheless an elusive die pairing. Most pieces are
well-circulated. This Choice VF coin displays lovely medium brown
color and smooth, problem-free surfaces. The obverse dentils grow
weak from 6 to 9 o'clock, while the reverse periphery is bold.
Central detail is pleasing for the grade. Our EAC grade VF20.From The Jim Hilands Collection.
