Description

1794 C-4a, B-6b Half Cent, XF40
Green-Label PCGS Holder

1794 1/2 C Normal Head, Small Edge Letters, C-4a, B-6b, R.3, XF40 PCGS. Manley Die State 3.0. Although the edge is not available for inspection due to the holder, the more common Small Edge Letters style is presumed. The 9 in the date is entered very low. The tan-brown surfaces have a whisper of verdigris, and the right wreath stem points to a small dig. Liberty's neck has a few tiny contact marks. Housed in a generation 3.1 green-label PCGS holder.
Ex: James L. Moore Collection/Baltimore Signature (Heritage, 7/2003), lot 5096.
From The Bruce S. Sherman Collection, Part II.
