Description
1795 1/2 C Lettered Edge, Punctuated Date--Graffiti--ANACS. VF30 Details. C-2a, B-2a, R.3. The so-called Punctuated Date, a name derived from a long, comma-like die defect between the 1 and 7 in the date. The surfaces are mostly deep brown and smooth, but a large "X" has been scratched into the right obverse field, just below the level of Liberty's chin. Slight porosity is also noted on each side.
