Pleasing 1795 Lettered Edge Half Cent
C-2a, VF25
1795 1/2 C Lettered Edge, Punctuated Date VF25 PCGS. C-2a,
B-2a, R.3. The Lettered Edge half cents were struck on the heavier
planchets first introduced in 1793, while late in 1795 the lighter
Plain Edge coins were introduced due to an increase in copper
prices. This pleasing dark-olive piece has minor handling marks on
