Description
Pleasing 1795 C-4 Half Cent
1795 1/2 C Plain Edge, Punctuated Date. C-4, B-4, R.3. Die State 2--Environmental Damage--NCS. VF Details. Fine 15 EAC. Punctuated date; No berries at ribbon bow. This is the common Plain Edge, Punctuated Date variety, and it is usually available in any grade short of Very Fine. On this example, most of HALF CENT is obliterated due to the die state, and light bulges are visible in the right obverse field. The surfaces have minor verdigris, and a couple small rim bumps are visible. Intermingled chestnut and steel-brown with mahogany color. Liberty and the cap are both slightly green in appearance with a few faint old scratches. Overall, this is still a pleasing and desirable example of the type.Ex: George Ramont (9/1967).
