Description
1795 1/2 C Plain Edge VG8 ANACS. C-6a, B-6c, R.2. Struck slightly off-center, there is an unidentifiable undertype on the reverse. This type is most notable for not having a pole attached to the Liberty Cap. Pleasing chocolate-brown fields contrast nicely against the lighter brown devices. The surfaces are generally clean with a few patches of shallow pitting. Even wear across both sides makes this an excellent example for a type collection.
