Description
1797 1/2C 1 Above 1 VG 10 ANACS. B-1a, C-1, R.4. One of the Plain Edge varieties of 1797, with the distinctive 1 punched entirely above the placement of the final 1 in the date. This piece is from a later die state with the die bulge in the right obverse field. The surfaces appear to have been lightly cleaned at one time with light pinkish-rose color interspersed with the usually-seen dark brown. Quite clean for the grade with no mentionable abrasions.
