1 Above 1, Plain Edge

1797 1/2 C Plain Edge, 1 Above 1, C-1, B-1, R.2, XF40 PCGS. Manley Die State 2.0 with a prominent bulge west of the L in LIBERTY and a vertical crack through the top of the head. A well-defined early type coin with generally smooth olive-brown and plum-red surfaces. A small field tick near the bridge of the nose, another southwest of the cap, but these are unimportant relative to the grade. Our EAC grade VF30.
