Description
1797 Plain Edge VG 10 Porous, Weak Reverse. B-1c, R.2. The more commonly encountered B-1 subvariety, overstruck on a cut down Talbot, Allum and Lee cent. Deep chocolate-brown color overall with a nick on the cap being the only visible defect on the obverse. The reverse, however, shows almost no central details and there are numerous crisscrossing scratches in the center as well.
