1797 C-2 Half Cent, VF30
Plain Edge, Pleasing Surfaces

1797 1/2 C Plain Edge, C-2, B-2, R.3, VF30 PCGS. A deep olive-brown representative. Pleasing overall despite a tick on the forehead and a couple of thin marks above CA and below the cap. The ICA in AMERICA is faint, as reported by Cohen "sometimes," due to die buckling in the vicinity. The obverse is slightly misaligned toward 10 o'clock, though only denticle width is impacted. Our EAC grade Fine 12.
