Description
1797 Half Cent, Scarce XF40
C-2, Plain Edge
1797 1/2 C Plain Edge, C-2, B-2, R.3, XF40 NGC. The vast
majority of C-2 survivors are well-circulated. This XF example is
conditionally scarce. The coin is evenly struck and well-centered,
with deep chocolate-brown surfaces that appear unaffected by
environmental impairments. An ancient, hair-thin scratch in the
lower-left obverse field is the only discernible break in the
surface. The interior devices are bold and the borders are equally
well-defined. Our EAC grade VF25.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2228, Variety PCGS# 35104, Base PCGS# 1036, Greysheet# 80866)
