1800 1/2 C AU58 NGC. C-1, B-1, R.1. Manley Die State 4. A well-preserved chocolate-brown piece that has just a hint of highpoint friction. The smooth surfaces have a few faint hairlines and other insignificant distractions. This piece is important for its technical quality and first year of issue design, but also for slightly doubling on the obverse. Liberty's neck, lower lip, and chin are doubled, as are the letters in LIBERTY and the lower edge of the hair ribbon. MRB AU50.(Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 1051, GSID# 465)
