Description

1800 C-1, B-1, Half Cent, MS64 Brown
First Year of the Design

1800 1/2 C C-1, B-1, R.1, MS64 Brown NGC. Although the Draped Bust design appeared earlier for other denominations, the 1800-dated half cents are the first of the denomination to exhibit Robert Scot's creation. This lovely dark chocolate example features wispy iridescent toning on each side with hints of mint red on the reverse. While the top leaves in the wreath are softly defined, all other design elements boast bold details. Census: 5 in 64 Brown, 1 finer (1/25).
