Description

1804 1/2 C Crosslet 4, Stems, C-4, B-2, FS-302, R.5, Good 6 PCGS. Manley Die State 2.0. Although scattered surface marks are evident with magnification, this is an exceptional example for the grade. The marks are trivial. Both sides have pleasing olive and light brown surfaces with excellent eye appeal. Opinions about the emission sequence for 1804 half cents differ. Bill Eckberg thinks this variety was the first variety struck in 1804. Walter Breen thought it was second, and Cohen thought it was fourth. Our EAC grade Good 6.
