Double Struck 1804 Half Cent, VF30
First Strike 10% Off Center
C-10, B-9, Crosslet 4, Stems
1804 1/2 C Crosslet 4, Stems -- Double Struck, First Strike 10%
Off Center -- VF30 PCGS. C-10, B-9, R.1. Manley Die State 2.0.
The first strike was struck approximately 10% off center toward 7
o'clock. The coin was properly centered for the second strike. The
PCGS insert incorrectly states that the second strike was 10% off
center. The iridescent multicolor toning appears unnatural and the
lower half of the right obverse field is smoothed, as is Liberty's
chin and a portion of her cheek. Our EAC grade VF20.(Registry values: P4)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 1069, Greysheet# 477)
Weight: 5.44 grams
Metal: 100% Copper
