Description
1804 1/2 C Spiked Chin AU 50 ANACS. B-7, C-8, R.1. A thoroughly pleasing example of this intriguing variety, with smooth, brown surfaces and slight wear on the highest points. The coin is free of all but the smallest of abrasions, and has great eye appeal. This die variety is the result of a die injury, caused by the obverse die striking a bolt, the imprint of which can be seen to the right of Liberty's portrait.
