Description

1811 1/2 C Fine 12. In a series of low mintage issues, the 63,140-piece delivery of 1811 stands out as the key date among business strike Classic Head half cents. While the present example displays noticeable wear and scattered circulation marks throughout, the surfaces are possessed of a pleasing crimson-brown appearance. Quite well detailed within the confines of the assigned grade level, poor definition is, nonetheless, noted along the right obverse rim and left reverse periphery. Students of the lowly half cent series would be wise to take advantage of this affordable opportunity.
