Boldly Struck, Glossy Example

1825 1/2 C C-2, B-2, R.1, MS64 Brown PCGS. CAC. Manley Die State 2, with fine die rust throughout much of each side and faint clash marks on the reverse. The strike is bold, with sharply delineated hair curls, complete border denticles on each side, and moderately well-defined radial lines on the stars. Shades of reddish-brown, chocolate-tan, and pale burgundy cover glossy surfaces, with subtle mint luster seen when turned in-hand. Our EAC grade AU55.
