Description

Early State 1826 C-1 Half Cent, MS65 Brown

1826 1/2 C MS65 Brown NGC. C-1, B-1, R.1. Manley Die State 2.0. This is a rare early die state with a crack from the border to star 1 and the drapery, and with weak clash marks on the reverse. The crossing die file marks to the right of the date immediately identify this variety. They are always present, though may be weak in later die states. This wonderful Gem has sharp design definition with satiny luster and lovely dark brown surfaces. Both sides have additional iridescent toning that adds to its overall eye appeal. MRB MS62.
