Prooflike 1833 Half Cent, C-1 MS64 Red and Brown

1833 1/2 C MS64 Red and Brown Prooflike NGC. C-1, B-1, R.1. Manley State 1.0. The obverse has a light crack through stars 2 to 7 only. There are no obverse clash marks, and only a single set of reverse clash marks. Both sides have fully reflective fields, with considerable deep orange mint color blended with medium blue and light brown toning. This piece met Breen's 1983 description of proofs but falls just short of his revised opinion of proof strikes. Ronald Manley provides details in his Half Cent Die State Book.
